Reynold Martin - Senior Advisor

Reynold Martin is a former Managing Principal and Head of Infrastructure and Energy at Allstate Investments. Mr. Martin was actively involved in the ground up building of the $1.5B Infrastructure and Energy program, leading the platform from 2014 – 2024. During this time, Mr. Martin hired and managed a dedicated team of 4 professionals, developing strategy as well as originating, underwriting and managing fund and direct investments, as well as continually developing relationships across both North America and Western Europe. During this time, Mr. Martin was also a member of Allstate’s Responsible Investment Committee and Allstate’s Inclusive Diversity and Equity Committee where he completed new investments across Climate and Emerging Manager initiatives. 

Mr. Martin joined Allstate in 2000 and prior to establishing the Infrastructure and Energy platform, previously spent five years as a member of Allstate’s Private Equity group and six years as a member of Allstate’s Private Placement group. Within those groups, Mr. Martin was responsible for the underwriting and managing of a portfolio of private equity/mezzanine funds and co-investments, private placement loans, and bank loans across a broad grouping of industries. Prior to joining Allstate, he worked in Prudential Capital Group’s Private Placement department, where he was responsible for analyzing private placement transactions within the midwestern United States. 

Mr. Martin is a graduate of Florida A & M University (FAMU) where he received an MBA in Business Finance. Mr. Martin is a CFA Charterholder, a member of National Association of Securities Professionals, a member of the CFA Society and holds certifications in Business Strategy, Problem Solving as well as Adaptability and Resilience through McKinsey & Company’s Management Accelerator program. 

Mr. Martin lives in Evanston IL, with his wife Santrice, and two children, Karis and Christian Martin. He serves as Chair of Trustees and Choir Director at his church, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Evanston, IL. Mr. Martin is also the President of the Chessmen Club of the 

North Shore, a volunteer Black male 501c3 entity focused on fostering the needs of minorities in the Evanston community, with a particular focus on the Black male community. The Chessmen of The Northshore award roughly $50k in college scholarships annually and foster feeding programs of roughly $20k annually to families in the Evanston Community.
